Designed to Fit
A carefully planned addition and renovation created more space, a refreshed bathroom, and a brighter kitchen—all designed with budget and family needs in mind.
Sometimes a home is filled with love but short on space. For this family, the challenge was how to add room for their children while keeping the project aligned with their budget.
We started by creating a brand-new bedroom above the existing TV room, customized for a young daughter but designed to grow with her through her teenage years. Built-in bookcases, drawers, and a cozy window seat made the space functional and personal, while an expansive closet with shelving and pull-outs provided plenty of storage. From the outside, the new addition was seamlessly integrated by reconfiguring the roofline, alongside fresh siding that gave the whole home a new look.
The family’s only bathroom was also completely reimagined. Instead of adding a second bathroom—which would have stretched the budget—we focused on transforming the existing one. Out went dated green tile and clunky fixtures; in came a sleek, classic design featuring floor-to-ceiling herringbone tile, a wall-hung toilet, and a new tub and shower that made the room feel luxurious.
To round out the project, we updated the kitchen with finishes and fixtures that made the heart of the home brighter and more functional.
This renovation shows how the right plan can balance budget and vision—creating a home that fits a growing family, without compromising on style or quality.
