Bright Horizons

This project took a single-level, three-bedroom, three-bath apartment and gave it a whole new life as a duplex. The renovation created a spacious new great room featuring an enlarged kitchen, two skylights that flood the space with natural light, and a convenient laundry closet on the main floor.

Downstairs, the family now enjoys a private master suite with a walk-in closet, bathroom, and a small office—designed as both a retreat and a functional living space.

To enhance the character of the home, we installed crown mouldings in the great room, and added baseboards, door mouldings, and raised-panel doors throughout. The kitchen received new flooring to seamlessly match the rest of the home, and the original hardwoods were refinished for a cohesive, polished look.

Lighting played a big role in this transformation. Recessed and feature fixtures were installed throughout, paired with thoughtful finishes such as glass tile in the kitchen and master shower. Behind the scenes, we modernized essentials with a tankless water heater, all-new plumbing for the laundry and bath, and fresh paint across every wall, ceiling, moulding, and door.

The result is a home that feels brighter, bigger, and beautifully balanced—perfect for family living.
